The climate crisis will happen in our lifetimes. In many ways, it is already here. Young people are leading the global movement for climate justice, and Uplift is rising to meet the needs of young leaders across the Southwest. Will you rise with us?

We are breaking away from our parent nonprofits to launch a fully youth-led organization that will connect, train, and mobilize thousands of young people. Help us expand beyond our annual conference to become an unstoppable force for climate justice!

A generous donor has offered to help launch Uplift's next phase and match every dollar we raise up to $10,000! By giving to this campaign, your donation will be doubled. We have big goals for the future and we need your help to get there!

We are asking our communities for support because we believe in grassroots change and the power of community-based economic structures. As young people, we want to imagine justice in the world beyond the current economic and political systems. When we fuel our own movements, we no longer depend on these systems.

Mass trainings across the region
Nonviolent direct actions
Young organizers working as Uplift Coordinators

Uplift is currently in an exciting period of structural and financial transition. Since the fall of 2014, we have been a program of the Grand Canyon Trust and NAU's Landscape Conservation Initiative. In early 2019, we decided it was time for Uplift to grow into its full potential and become the Colorado Plateau’s primary youth-led climate justice organization. We recently became a project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit that acts as a fiscal sponsor and provides administrative support to grassroots organizations. This relationship will allow us to raise money through SEE’s 501c3 status and focus our time on organizing.
